Multiple teeth dental implants

Serving patients throughout Lewes, Ringmer and Brighton

If you have one or more teeth missing, then you may not need as many implants as you think. They may either be replaced with individual implants (one for each missing tooth), or if your missing teeth are adjacent to each other, it may be more cost effective to join two or more implants together with an implant secured bridge.

Traditional bridges require the healthy teeth at either side of a gap to be filed down in order to secure the bridge in place, attaching this to healthy teeth. With an implant secured bridge, the bridge is anchored in place with the implant, result in the neighbouring healthy teeth remaining untouched.

Not only can implants recreate natural-looking teeth, but they also safeguard your overall dental health. Replacing missing teeth is extremely important, as missing teeth cause bone loss which will age your face and could potentially cause adjacent teeth to become loose too.

Our implant dentist, Georgios Prodromidis will carefully place titanium implants into the jaw to replace the original roots. They are then left for 3 to 6 months to heal and integrate with your jawbone, before securely attaching crowns or a bridge. Georgios will ensure your replacement teeth are carefully crafted to blend perfectly with your natural smile.

At St Anne's Dental Practice we can assist with all implant cases, from the simplest to the most complex. Our patients have the peace of mind that they can access progressive technology and benefit from a wealth of experience from our implant dentist, Georgios.

The benefits of implants

  • Implants look and feel just like natural teeth – you shouldn’t notice any difference.
  • With dental implants, replacement teeth are securely anchored without compromising any neighbouring healthy teeth.
  • Implants won’t come loose or fall out.
  • Implants prevent ageing bone loss, by stimulating your bone structure and stabilising the surrounding teeth.
  • Implants can last for many years if you maintain good oral hygiene.

Are you suitable for treatment?

Patients must have healthy gums and enough jawbone to support dental implants. At your initial consultation Georgios will use x-rays and scans to establish if pre-treatment is required and will explain this further.

Some patients may need to see a hygienist for a course of treatment to ensure their gums are strong and healthy before the dental implant process can begin.

Georgios will also check that there is sufficient bone for an implant to be placed successfully at this initial consultation. If there is insufficient bone you may need to need pre-treatment before your dental implants can be placed. This may include oral surgery procedures such as bone grafting, bone expansion or sinus lifts.

Probably the friendliness of the staff. The quality of the care and the professionalism of the dental team. My extraction was not straightforward but was accomplished with the utmost skill and dexterity. I could not praise them highly enough. It was a pleasure to note the way my dentist and her nurse worked seamlessly together in a finely tuned double act.

I e had some terrible experiences in the past which has left me feeling nervous and anxious before an appointment. The team at St Anne's have all been fantastic since day one. They listen, they empathise and are not pushy. The hygienist is very careful and thorough … the best experience I’ve ever had.
